UW SPACE
The 236,500 square-foot, 11-story University of Wisconsin tower will include functions that are currently spread across the campus. The first two stories will be part of the retail component. The next two will house the Student Activity Center, the future home to hundreds of student organizations and student government. The next four stories will be occupied by the new University Health Services, and replace their two existing facilities with a modern, central location for clinical, counseling, and prevention services. The upper floors will be the new location for Student Services including the Division of Enrollment Management, the Office of the Registrar, the Bursar, and the Office of Student Financial Services. The Integrated Student Information System office will also reside on this floor.
This new tower at University Square is part of UW's much larger East Campus Redevelopment plan. It is scheduled to open by the Spring of 2009.
