SHOPPING

Downtown Madison is home to many unique shops and boutiques including the great retailers found in the University Square retail spaces (owned and managed by EMI) below Lucky.

State Street Pedestrian Mall is lined with over 200 unique shops and specialty stores featuring books, CD's, jewelry, gifts, arts, crafts, college apparel, sporting goods, women's fashions, specialty foods and much more. In mid- to late-July State Street also hosts Maxwell Street Days, a huge 6-block long sidewalk sale.

Just south of Camp Randall you'll find Monroe Street, another area filled with unique local shops and galleries. This neighborhood hot spot offers specialty gift shops, a Trader Joe's, clothing, books, and more! It's the perfect area to spend a Saturday afternoon browsing.

To the North of the Capitol Square you'll find some of Madison's most unique pockets of shopping areas. Johnson Street, Williamson Street and Atwood Avenue are all home to many locally owned shops, most of which are involved in eco-conscious or "green" awareness campaigns. This is the perfect area to find something unexpected.

If you're looking for a major shopping mall Lucky is a 5-20 minute car or bus ride from East Towne, Greenway Station, Hilldale, West Towne and Westgate.
