BEFORE THE MOVE

Earnest Money and Security Deposit:
Be sure the total of earnest money and security deposit due for your apartment is paid on or before you arrive. Key cards will not be issued, and you will not be able to move in until these balances paid in full. A statement will be mailed to you in July; call us if you have questions about payments on your account.

Renters Insurance:
As agreed to in your lease, you are required to carry renters insurance. Please bring a copy of your policy with you on move in day. Key cards will not be issued, and you will not be able to move in until you provide this information.

Phone and Internet:
Internet is included with your apartment. Just plug-in your Ethernet cord to get started. To upgrade your service and to order phone service, visit ResTech Services www.restechservices.net directly.

DIRECTV:
Your apartment is prewired for DIRECTV digital television. ResTech Services is our chosen installation company. To establish service, first place an order using our Accessories Order Form. Once you establish service with Lucky, you are then free to add on HD, DVR and/or premium channels by contacting ResTech Services at 608.663.3868. You will need to maintain your Lucky subscription in order to be eligible to upgrade. DIRECTV will bill you monthly for your additional service fees.

Auxiliary Services:

Heat, Gas and Electricity:
Heat is included with your apartment. It is your responsibility to establish the rest of your utilities. Please call Madison Gas & Electric today at (608) 252-7222 to set up your utility account to ensure you have electricity when you arrive.

Shipping Packages:
During the course of the year we are happy to accept your packages if you have them shipped to our offices. We are unable offer this service during August move-in. Please note that we CANNOT ACCEPT PACKAGES FOR YOU BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. If you are shipping your things please make sure they do not arrive before you do. Steve Brown Apartments will not sign for, and will not be responsible for, any packages that arrive before you do.

Shower Curtains:
It's recommended that you purchase and extra long shower curtain liner to avoid water damage in your bathroom.
